Now Ayal is part of a new wave of digital natives shaping the future of fashion. And it won’t stop until the industry is truly inclusive of all talent around the world. “I hope to play a pioneering role in much-needed change, so that future generations of designers, stylists and editors can step into a fun, inclusive space with plenty of industry knowledge and a friendly front-row seat.”
Below, Albert Ayal shares his list of international names to watch in 2022.
“Wannes Akop is an Amsterdam-based brand that understands how to incorporate modern trends into classic silhouettes. Her Spring/Summer 2022 collection is largely defined by a perfect mix of strong pieces, including red leather pants with cutout sides and a beaded dress in a similar tone, and subtle statements, like a white dress with a cut triangular mid-section and a black dress with a V that dips below the navel.
“From Cologne, Luis Dobbelgarten is the 21-year-old founder and designer behind No/Faith Studios. The brand has been experimenting with eclectic pairings, inventive silhouettes and dramatic oversizing since 2016, but I have to say their latest collection in flared denim is definitely worth lining up for. The centerpiece of the range features an impressive distressed and tasteful handmade logo embroidery unlike anything I’ve seen before.
