Anna Richardson said: “I spend a lot of time traveling across the country and I like to use my travel time to dedicate some of my time to myself. Life can seem extremely busy at times, and taking time with an activity you enjoy can help you feel better.
“I have a passion for relaxation and hypnotherapy techniques, and both of these techniques can easily be introduced on long train journeys to help me relax and have peace of mind. There is a strong connection between relaxation and well-being, and using techniques that can be taken with you anywhere can help you use your time effectively to build a better culture of well-being for yourself. I’m excited to share experiences with those looking to balance a busy lifestyle with creating a happier life.
Kate McFerran, Director of Communications at LNER, said: “Our research shows that there is a well-established link between well-being and train travel. Our teams often share some of the creative activities they see our customers doing, whether it’s knitting a scarf, writing, playing games on board or mindfully colouring.
“Experience shows us that there is a lot of pleasure in enjoying a trip while traveling by train. It’s not just about arriving at your destination, but about making the most of a relaxing environment to indulge in activities that enhance your sense of well-being.
“We hope the Wellness Train will inspire anyone who travels by train, by demonstrating some of the activities that can be easily and conveniently done on board.
