Fabulous new art gallery opens at Sea Point

Art has a new home in the heart of the Atlantic coast. Art Haus, an eclectic gallery-boutique experience has magically opened its doors in the heart of Sea Point with a deep new collection from Jooj Art and a collection of contemporary wildlife by a variety of leading local artists, and much more again.

Idols & Time, a seven-piece collection with a deep and meaningful message created from thousands of black origami butterflies counted in local artist Jooj’s Guinness World Record attempt is on display.

This new collection transcends time and is a testament to how society has changed idols over the years…and the new owner of each of the seven works will take home a signed Guinness World Record certificate with their purchase.

The Wildlife Collection is made up of works by Dessi Di Mar, Ian Albertyn, Roxy Foxx, Jooj Art & Hargreaves Ntukwana. Passionate about wildlife conservation, Art Haus will donate 50% of the profits generated from the sale of these spectacular pieces to the New Earth Custodians association, led by Stan Kessel.

This bespoke store is a labor of love from creative events guru Greg Lipton and her talented artist husband Juanne – Pierre De Abreu, and combines their passions for art, music and having a fabulous time. The couple had their eye on this lovely space on Clarens Road behind the original Bootleggers for some time, and took the opportunity to open their Love, Art, Life shop in this quaint heritage building once the space became available , a downloadable monthly playlist will be a unique feature of the new gallery, as everything is set to music.

“Our first exhibition focuses on Jooj’s deep collection as well as a variety of pop, contemporary and modern artwork by a variety of leading local artists who have figured in the couple’s lives. The Wildlife collection will always be part of our gallery-boutique experience,” says Greg Lipton, “we want to raise awareness of endangered animals and have remarkable works by a variety of top artists available at the gallery. purchase that can help animals that cannot help themselves, is very important to us.

Those who visit Sea Point must visit this original and dynamic space, tailor-made for those who love beautiful things. In addition to the artwork on display, a variety of artistic decorations, fashion, accessories and dog gifts are on sale, as well as bespoke CBD products and health solutions.

And as if that weren’t enough, artist Jooj has his studio at Art Haus, and visitors can see the maestro at work… if you want to learn how to fold an origami butterfly from the world record holder, it’s also a possibility, just make an appointment.

With an official opening on saturday 22 january, Art Haus Gallery is now open Tuesday to Sunday from 10amat 3b Clarens Road, Sea Point. The eccentric couple chose to take Monday off to enjoy the magic Cape Town has to offer.
