Omar and Oz from The Block overcome a major tile disaster to WIN the main week with bathroom

Omar and Oz from the Block overcame a “disaster” to win the bathroom main week at the venue reveal on Sunday night.

The fan favorites feared they wouldn’t be ready in time after having to rip off all their floor tiles when they realized they hadn’t set because the glue hadn’t been mixed properly.

Not only that, but faulty glue meant the pair also had to check the waterproofing for damage, before re-laying the tiles from scratch.

Best friends in Western Sydney, who have limited construction and design experience, have been advised to forget about showing a piece this week and just focus on getting the job done right.

But they didn’t have it, and with some extra handwork from foremen Keith and Dan, they managed to remove the glue and re-position the tiles properly in time for the judges to inspect them.

Interior design expert Shaynna Blaze said she loves the “upscale country club” vibe with a walk-in shower with a bench seat inside.

‘Oh, that’s so good. It’s very, very cool. And such a clever use of space. It’s ingenious, isn’t it? she says.

Darren Palmer agreed, saying, “This is the next level. It’s really clever. It’s ingenious and it’s unexpected.

Even the smallest touches were noted by the judges, like the origami peacock from Oz on the toilet paper.

It was a massive win for the duo after a very troubling week.
